ARTISTS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948. Anne Archer founded Artists for Human Rights to raise awareness throughout the world “by knowing them, demanding them, and defending them.”
ARTISTS FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE: Provides assistance to poor children in Haiti. Childen grow up and can live their entire lives having never seen a flower. Clean water, sanitation, electricity, education and medical care are practically non-existent. One child out of three dies before the age of 5.
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL LOS ANGELES: The mandate is to make a world of difference in the lives of children, adolescents and their families by integrating medical care, education and research to provide the highest quality care and service to the diverse community. While most of the children admitted to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles come from Los Angeles County, others come from the seven-county area near Los Angeles and around the world.
ENOUGH PROJECT: A nonprofit organization whose purpose is helping to build a permanent constituency to prevent genocide and crimes against humanity. Too often, the United States and the larger international community have taken a wait-and-see approach to crimes against humanity. This is unconscionable. Enough was conceived in 2006 by a small group of concerned policymakers and activists who wanted to transform their frustration about inaction into pragmatic solutions and hope. Co-founded by Africa experts Gayle Smith and John Prendergast, Enough launched in early 2007 as a project of the Center for American Progress. John Norris is Enough’s Executive Director.

Variety takes time and care in evaluating each child to give individualized assistance that saves and enhances his or her life.
